Gluing the table to the ribs of stringed instruments is a delicate procedure because of the risk of pressure marks and edge chipping. The pads of assembly clamps eliminate that danger by going over the ridge of the edge of the violin or cello and exert pressure directly over the rib. The plastic material used is glue resistant, non-ageing and elastic to avoid pressure marks. The pads are parallel pin guided in a mortice for fast closing action. By reversing the upper pad, the sides of the instrument may also be glued. All three clamps are colour coded and feature brass, wide pitch thread, burnished steel spindle and polyurethane pads with brass bushings. Sold individually. A set would consist of 20 x blue, 8 red and 4 yellow. Cello clamps also available on indent order.
